So, in the spirit of embracing the festive season or just to be organised with your gift buying, we have compiled a list of Christmas Markets coming up in Suffolk.
Bury St Edmunds 22nd -25th November, 10am until 8pm
Located in the heart of historic Bury St Edmunds, the largest Christmas fayre in Suffolk offers visitors a wide range of traditional and contemporary arts, crafts and gifts as well as a selection of food and drink from the region and around the world. With over 300 stalls set out along the town’s medieval streets plus a fantastic range of independent shops, you should have all your Christmas gifts sorted by the end of the day.
Jimmy’s Farm 1st - 2nd December 2018, 10am until 4pm
Join Jimmy’s Farm for some Christmas cheer, Mulled cider, Father Christmas’ Grotto, carousel, live music, over 100 craft and local food stalls. One for the kids the farm and wildlife park will be open for visitors to participate in the biggest Christmas present hunt or enjoy a festive donkey ride.
The Saints Ipswich Festive Street Market 2nd December 2018, 10am until 4pm
Back with a bigger selection of stalls from local makers, artisan crafts and producers, as well as all the independent businesses along the Saints will be open to support local this Christmas.
Woodbridge 2nd December 2018, 10am until 4pm
Food & drinks, Carol singers, craft and Christmas gift stalls will line the Thoroughfare, Church Street and Quay Street as well as Woodbridge shops will be open too.
Lavenham 8th - 9th December 2018, 10am until 4pm
Quite possibly the most Christmassy village of them in Suffolk, the medieval buildings lend themselves to creating a magical scene worthy of a Victorian Christmas Card. There will be a range of live music, craft fair, food stalls and Father Christmas. Highlight of the weekend is the Christmas Lantern Walk around Lavenham with a blue badge guide of the fascinating history.
Ipswich Christmas Craft Market 10th – 23rd December 2018, 9am until 6pm
The first Christmas craft market in Ipswich town centre on the new Cornhill in front of the historic Town Hall. A variety of exhibitors offering unique crafts and gifts, as well as delicious food in a relaxed and friendly at atmosphere, inside a heated marquee, so no need to worry about the British weather.
Snape Maltings Christmas Farmers Market 22nd December 2018, 9:30am
Offers locally sourced fresh produce as part of Snape Maltings’ Christmas season. The market has a wonderful bustling atmosphere and provides easy access for people to buy high quality, local foods and treats for Christmas direct from Suffolk’s artisan producers located at a world class music venue. The Christmas Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival this market is described as for its friendliness and unsurpassed variety of high quality local products. The array of Snape Maltings shops will also be open until Sunday 23rd December from 10am until 4pm.
